Within — Timber, Steel & Gold Leaf
Within explores the hidden structures that exist beneath the surface, spaces of memory, resilience and transformation. Created from reclaimed timber, steel and gold leaf, the sculpture contrasts a charred exterior with a luminous core, reflecting the strength and beauty that can emerge through change.
Inspired by the protective forms and layered complexity found in nature, viewers are invited to look through and into the sculpture, encountering shifting light, subtle openings and moments of quiet contemplation. Within offers an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and discover what lies beneath the surface—both within the work and within ourselves.

This exhibition brought together a collection of works exploring reclaimed materials, natural forms and our connection to place.
Presented within the landscape of Vinteloper, the sculptures were experienced alongside the environment that continues to inspire my practice, creating a dialogue between material, landscape and human experience.

Breath — Guildhouse Outdoor Development Award
Breath was created as an invitation to slow down and reconnect with the rhythms of the natural world. Inspired by the relationship between breathing, growth and the unseen processes that sustain life, the sculpture explores the idea that nature is constantly exchanging, adapting and renewing.
Exhibited outdoors along the coastline, Breath became part of a landscape shaped by wind, water and movement. The work received the Guildhouse Outdoor Development Award, providing recognition of my evolving approach to large-scale outdoor sculpture.

Protector
Protector continues my exploration of guardianship, connection and our relationship with the natural world.
Standing over two metres tall, the sculpture combines reclaimed timber, copper and steel to create a presence that feels both ancient and organic. Inspired by the protective structures found throughout nature, the work reflects the balance between strength, vulnerability and adaptation.
Created specifically for an outdoor environment, Protector explores sculpture as something that can exist in dialogue with landscape rather than simply occupying it.

Cinders of Becoming — Runner Up, 3D Arts
Cinders of Becoming represents transformation through destruction and renewal. Using charred reclaimed Jarrah and gold leaf, the work explores the contrast between what is lost and what emerges through change.
The burnt surface carries the memory of fire, while the gold interior reveals resilience, value and the possibility of regeneration. The sculpture continues my exploration of natural cycles and the stories held within reclaimed materials.
The work was recognised as Runner Up in the 3D Arts category, further supporting the ongoing evolution of my practice.

Rippling — 3D Artist Award
Rippling marked an important moment in the development of my sculptural language, exploring movement, connection and the quiet patterns found within nature. Created from reclaimed timber, the work reflects my ongoing fascination with the relationship between natural materials and human experience.
The piece was recognised with the 3D Artist Award, affirming the direction of my practice and encouraging further exploration into sculpture as a way of creating moments of pause, reflection and connection.
